Ideal Institute of Technology celebrated third convocation ceremony.

Ideal Institute of Technology celebrated its third convocation ceremony amid much fanfare on Saturday, 11 April 2009. As many as 250 students of different disciplines of B.Tech. (CS,IT,ME,EC,EE) and MCA of batch 2006,2007 and 2008, were conferred with degrees by Dr. (Prof.) Prem Vrat, honorable Vice Chancellor, Uttar Pradesh Technical University, at the annual convocation of Ideal Institute of Technology, Ghaziabad. Mr. Deepak Singhal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Fertilizers, Government of India, was the chief guest.

The Chairman of Ideal Institute of Technology, Sh. Subhash Chand Gupta, Director Dr. (Prof.) G.P. Govil, Senior Vice Chairman Sh. Anil K. Mittal, Vice Chairman Dr. Atul K Jain, Secretary Sh.Gyan P Goel, welcomed the honorable Vice Chancellor, Uttar Pradesh Technical University, the Chief Guest and other distinguished guests dignitaries, students, parents and media representatives to the college campus and started the function with lightening of a lamp followed by Kul Geet and National Anthem.

College Director Dr. (Prof.) G.P. Govil presented the annual progress report of college and highlighted the vision of the institute for future. He mentioned the achievements of the college, one being high quality education & placements by various top- notch companies.

While presiding over the function, the honorable Vice Chancellor, Uttar Pradesh Technical University, motivated the students to step out of restricted thinking and explore the opportunities in the current global scenario. He also advised the students to work hard and take part in co-curricular activities along with academics. He urged that they should acquire excellence in their chosen field to surge forward in life and contribute to nation building. He also stressed upon the need to develop healthy industry-institute interaction for promoting quality education in Uttar Pradesh.

The Chairman of Ideal Institute of Technology, Mr. Subhash Chand Gupta, congratulated the students & appreciated the role of Ideal family in shaping their carrier. Addressing the students, he exhorted the budding engineers to associate themselves with vast areas of development &apply their knowledge &expertise to solve problems. The chairman also lauded the college for providing quality education.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Deepak Singhal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Fertilizers, Government of India , encouraged the youth to indicate the habit of hard work ,initiative & skill without forgetting their values . While congratulating the degree recipients, he appealed them to maintain high aspirations along with espousing austerity & humility in their life.

Prizes were given for outstanding performance in academics, sports & extracurricular activities. Certificates of distinction of merit were also given to meritorious students by honorable chief guest.

While congratulating the students, Vice Chairman Dr. Atul K Jain said, "Education is a process of life, value and character building. Knowledge combined with entrepreneurship creates wealth, which in turn enriches lives and thereby the whole nation. This is our humble effort to make contribution to the academia and I am extremely happy with the outcome. Industry -Academics partnership is the only route to nurture young talent who will find ready employment with the industry. In the future we will continue to capitalize on any such opportunity, where we can add value to the education system". He also thanked the chief guests and dignitaries for their august presence.

The newly constructed Ramanujam Block with more than 8024 sq. ft. buit up area of the institute was also inaugurated in the memory of 11 April 2009 at 10.30 a.m. by the honorable Vice Chancellor, Uttar Pradesh Technical University.

Alumni meet

The institute also celebrated its alumni get together in the evening of Saturday, 11 April 2009 with the objectives:

• To establish a network between the alumni, staff and students of the institution
• To facilitate interaction among alumni
• To provide updates on the developments and achievements in Curricular, Co-curricular, Extracurricular, Research and Development and Industry interaction related activities in the college
• To showcase the achievements of alumni

The meet was also graced by the presence of the Management Committee, the Director Dr. G.P. Govil and eminent faculty members.

Many distinguished alumni members from various leading corporate houses were present in the meet. Ideal’s alumni have grabbed the top positions everywhere with their skills and abilities. They have always stood for integrity and dignity. The alumni also shared their experiences in the meet.

Alumni from the first batch till the recent passed outs attended the meet. A cultural program was organized by the current batch for the alumni members. There were moments of surprise, happiness, exhilaration and joy when people met their long-lost friends. The atmosphere was that of sheer camaraderie brought alive by the alumni present at the event
